Shazam! Director Teases More Casting Announcements To Come!

The future of the DC Extended Universe as a whole may seem like one big question mark. Justice League didn’t make the money it needed to make, and if recent rumors of a shakeup are any indication, we should be expecting some big change in the near future.

However, there is still one film that’s going forward, seemingly as planned, and that’s Shazam!, from Lights Out director David F. Sandberg. Not too long ago, we had both our Shazam and our Billy Batson cast, in addition to Billy’s best friend, Freddy.

It seems like they’re nowhere near done. Sandberg took to twitter to tease as such in an interesting image.

All we can say is “dayum.” Now, I’d argue that the photo there is not indicative that there are 74 big characters in the film, but includes all kinds of incidental roles as well. That being said, it does put into perspective all the work that goes into casting roles for even the smallest of parts. Nothing just shows up on screen. Everything has to be thought out on some level.

Regardless, it looks like there are probably at least still a good few leads left to cast, as indicated by the question mark between Shazam himself and Billy. What roles do you expect to fill up the cork board here? Let us know your thoughts down below!
