Looks like DC’s next big film after Aquaman is either fully in the can or damn near close. One of the film’s stars, Asher Angel, who plays the role of Billy Batson, recently took to Twitter to share that he has wrapped on Shazam!. In the tweet, we see a photo with him alongside Zachary Levi, who plays Billy’s alter ego, Shazam.

Here’s what Angel said in a tweet:

“That’s a wrap on Shazam! What an experience – so lucky to learn from the many talented, encouraging and generous professionals both in front of and behind the camera. It truly takes a village. I can’t wait to share and see you all soon!”

Shazam! is a film on which there is a lot riding for DC. While Wonder Woman did a lot to bolster the enthusiasm for that character, Justice League ultimately did the opposite for this universe (plus it went on to make much less money than the other films, which is no good). Next up, we have Aquaman, but Shazam! will be truly unique in that it will be the first original film in the brand-new direction they plan on going.

Will this direction be one that audiences will be all in on? That remains to be seen, but the studio has reached the point of no return on this particular property for now.

Shazam! hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
