Shemar Moore Joining The Cast Of Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Sonic the Hedgehog was such a cute movie. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it since many video game-to-movie projects haven’t been successful and some have been terrible. Sorry, Super Mario Bros 1993. At first, Sonic the movie had an issue winning over people when the first trailer dropped, but after changes, it looked very promising. I loved Tom and Maddie’s adorable relationship and Ben Schwartz did an amazing performance as Sonic. Also, Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik was over the top and I think I would be disappointed if the character wasn’t. I didn’t like Dr. Robotnik at first, but he grew on me. Sonic’s rival is very eccentric. After seeing this movie, I was looking forward to watching the sequel.

An Exciting Addition

Yesterday, Sonic the Hedgehog’s official Twitter page shared that Shemar Moore will be joining the cast. There’s no information on what his character will be, but I’m hoping he will be Maddie and Rachel’s brother. I’ve seen him as Derek Morgan in Criminal Minds and Moore played a great biological brother and brother to his team at the B.A.U. I think it would be a great fit for Sonic 2.

We will be getting Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Natasha Rothwell back as Sonic, Tom, Maddie, and Rachel. Also, Jim Carrey will return as Dr. Robotnik. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released on April 8 so less than a year left to wait.
