Silicon Valley Season 5 Trailer: The Assh**es Of Pied Piper Return

HBO has just premiered the brand-new trailer for Season 5 of their award-winning comedy series, Silicon Valley.

Of course, most of your favorite assh**es have returned, with the exception of T.J. Miller’s Elrich, who was written out last season. This time around, we get to see Pied Piper at a rare high point, with Richard now commanding a staff of around 50 employees to usher in what he’s calling “the new internet.”

The trailer starts off with Richard addressing his company…only to succumb to stage fright. He retreats into his office, only to throw up into his trash bin. Sadly, in the tech industry, windowed offices are all too prominent, and everyone has a chance to see their CEO at his lowest point.

Gavin Belson is also back. While he’s been mostly something of a villain in this series, last season saw him and Richard team up for a hot second before he went off on a soul-searching journey. It seems like he’s reverted to more of a neutral character, though in true Silicon Valley form, we’re sure it won’t stay that way for long.

Finally, with Elrich gone, it looks like Jian-Yang — who has long been a thorn in Elrich’s side — has taken over the incubator, and we’re sure he’ll wield his power with an iron fist.

Looks like, despite Miller’s absence, that the humor and story you’ve come to expect remains intact. Are you excited for this brand-new season? Let us know down below!

Silicon Valley returns to HBO on March 25, 2018.
