What if I told you you could sleep with Chris Hemsworth or Taika Waititi? No, not like that, you pervert. I’m talking about sleep visualization, obviously. What’s sleep visualization, you ask? It’s a form of meditation to help you relax and fall asleep…as indicated by the term. Well, what if you could pass out to the dulcet tones of the two on a whim? Well, luckily, that’s exactly what you can do now.
Some of you may know that Chris Hemsworth has a health app called Centr. In the app, you can look up workouts, health tips, food recipes, meditations, and sleep visualizations. Now, Hemsworth is getting a bit more hands-on, providing the narration for some of those meditations and visualizations. Even better, this is content that appeals to kids ages four to nine — so if you have kids that can’t sit still, hopefully, this will be interesting enough so all of you could benefit.
“I thought, this is not going to work, my kids are allergic to sitting still. But to my surprise it actually did calm them down,” Hemsworth said on the official Centr blog. “Kids are feeling anxiety and stress like us, and probably more so because they don’t understand it and it’s difficult for us to explain it to them. These guided meditations have been really beneficial.”
And, as I mentioned earlier on in the post, Hemsworth won’t be alone. Also narrating new meditations will be Taika Waititi, who’s worked with Hemsworth on projects like Thor: Ragnarok and the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
The first “Meditation for Kids” is called “Share Your Kindness” and is available for subscribers of Centr. Recently, Hemsworth and co. made the app available for six weeks. Unfortunately, that deal is officially over, but if you signed up for that, you can check out the new meditation HERE.
