Russell Crowe stars in the mystery thriller Sleeping Dogs, in which a man who suffers from severe memory loss must put pieces together from a crime scene and his memories to solve a murder.

The film portrays everyone as the suspect, but it definitely ties Russell Crowe into the center of things.

The film also stars Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Selfie), Mártin Csókás (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Equalizer), Thomas M. Wright (The Stranger, Acute Misfortune), Harry Greenwood (The Nightingale, Hacksaw Ridge), and Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).

Adam Cooper directed the movie with the screenplay adaptation by Cooper, Bill Collage, and E.O. Chirovici. It was based on Chirovici’s novel titled “The Book of Mirrors.”

Here is the synopsis:

An ex-homicide detective (Russell Crowe) with memory loss is forced to solve a brutal murder he can’t recall. But as evidence uncovers secrets to his forgotten past, he is led to a chilling truth—sometimes, it’s best to let sleeping dogs lie.

The trailer for Sleeping Dogs creates a mystery of whodunnit, but it all ties Russell Crowe’s character as either the murderer, the victim, the accomplice, or perhaps the cause. Whatever the story, it will probably be a twist many people can’t see coming.
