Solo: Jon Favreau Joins Cast In A Voice Role

Lucasfilm has shown off stuff from the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story film — a project that’s been on everyone’s radar ever since directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were canned.

Despite this bump in the road, production moved forward, and Lucasfilm seemed fully adamant about keeping its May 25 release date later this year. Yet despite the fact that the movie is only a few months from its release, we keep hearing about new things being added.

The latest comes from director Ron Howard, who shared that a very cool vocal talent would be joining the film.

For those who somehow don’t know, Jon Favreau is the director behind such films as Iron Man and the upcoming Lion King. He’s also an actor, and perhaps most notably played Happy Hogan in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Howard obviously didn’t delve into who he could be playing, but since it’s a voice role, it could be as prominent or as minimal as the role calls for, as voice acting can be accomplished in just a few days of recording in a booth.

What kind of role do you think Favreau will be playing? Let us know your thoughts down below!

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25, 2018.
