Deadline reports that Solo star Alden Ehrenreich has landed a key role within the Ironheart Disney+ series alongside star Dominique Thorne. Details are vague about exactly who Ehrenreich is playing, and as per usual Marvel declined to comment.
Ironheart has kicked off filming and it seems the story will follow on from Thorne’s debut as Riri Williams within Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. There are currently a whole slew of potential Wakanda Forever plot rumors, so I will watch what I say here. However based on both some concept art, and some Black Panther merch, we have a rough idea of what Ironheart will look like. Or, at least the Mk1 version of her suit anyway. It is assumed, rightly or wrongly that the Ironheart suit will get a Vibranium upgrade at some point down the line.
I won’t get into the story rumors, but I’m sure all our readers are already aware that Namor and his underwater realm will debut also within Wakanda Forever. There are also some rumors that a certain Latverian dictator may be the one pulling the strings within the Black Panther sequel, but we shall have to wait and see on that front.

As far as Ehrenreich goes, your guess is as good as mine? There were some rumors that a descendant of Obadiah Stane could be the antagonist of the Ironheart show. Is it possible Ehrenreich could be playing that antagonist? Yes, it’s possible, but that’s pure speculation on my part. Therefore, don’t take any notice of my mad speculations if you don’t want to? Ehrenreich will be one of the few stars to cross over between the MCU and the Star Wars Universe. However despite playing a major role in Solo, it does feel like Ehrenreich’s time in the GFFA is over. Solo‘s poor performance mixed with recent comments from Kathleen Kennedy about learning not to recast legacy characters, seems to signal the end of young Han Solo. However, who knows for sure?
It’ll be interesting to see if Ehrenreich’s role is a one and done type deal in Ironheart, or whether he will stick around for the future of Ironheart in the MCU?
