Sonic The Hedgehog 2 | Bigger, Bluer, Better Featurette & Villains Clip

We are just under two weeks from the release of Paramount Pictures’ Sonic The Hedgehog 2. This is the sequel to the 2020 feature film that is based on the classic SEGA franchise. While many other video game adaptations flopped, Sonic did not. Possibly due to the production team listening to fans and adjusting their main character’s look. Something that usually never happens. Regardless, here we are now ready for another adventure with some new friends and foes.

But what makes Sonic The Hedgehog 2 better than its predecessor? To answer that question, Paramount Pictures has released a featurette titled “Bigger, Blue, Better” that will hopefully answer your questions. Check it out!

Idris Elba, we never thought you’d be voicing an animated live-action version of Knuckles either but we are glad you are! It’s great to see that the franchise is able to build off of the first film and now introduce some new characters as well as bring back some familiar faces. Fans are going to be excited to see Sonic back with Tails as we have seen in so many games!

But you can’t have Sonic The Hedgehog 2 without Dr. Robotnik played by one of my favorite actors, Jim Carrey. But he isn’t returning alone. Check out this other clip also released today featuring Robotnik introducing Knuckles to Sonic.

Here is the synopsis for Sonic The Hedgehog 2

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

From the filmmakers behind The Fast and the Furious and Deadpool, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub and Jim Carrey returning, alongside new additions Shemar Moore, with Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails.
