We all know a lot of hands go in the making of movies. Sure, you have the writers and directors near the top along with cinematographers, but make no mistake, there are a lot of other brains that go into the making of these movies. This includes the work of storyboard artists, who work with the directors to help better visualize shots for cinematographers and VFX artists to work off of. 

One such storyboard artist, Heiko Von Drengenberg, known for his work on films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Aladdin, and Hotel Artemis, recently took to social media to show off work on the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

The first scene in question shows a car chase that we’ve already seen in the trailers for the movie. As you can see, the shots in the final movie actually resemble the original drawings fairly well. One other final shot shows Sonic in a storage unit of sorts, hiding from one of Dr. Robotnik’s flying orbs.

The next one shows a larger set piece from the flick, which shows Sonic and co. facing off against a bunch of drones and ship through the city.
