It’s been decades since we’ve been graced with a Bill & Ted film, and in the realm of sequels, reboots, and remakes, this isn’t really one that fans have been clamoring for. However, in the midst of the Keanuissance, there has never been a better time to revisit the comedy franchise — this time with older stars who now have families to connect with and support. That’s exactly what we’re getting with Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Orion Pictures has released a new image from the movie, and in it, we see the Bill and Ted duo, played by Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, respectively, this time joined by their daughters.

Here is the official synopsis for Bill & Ted Face the Music:

“The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan.  Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.”

When the idea of a Bill & Ted sequel was first presented, I wasn’t too keen on the idea, but with the solid-sounding core emotional story present, along with Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot, I think they have the ingredients for a solid flick.
