The Valiant Entertainment character, Bloodshot, that first made is comic book appearance in 1992 will have to wait another month to make his big screen debut as Sony Pictures has announced that the Vin Diesel lead film will now be released on March 13th, 2020 instead of February 21st, 2020 according to ScreenRant.
The March release puts the film in the same month that was previously occupied by Godzilla vs. Kong, which was pushed back earlier this year. But it does put it closer to Fast & Furious 9‘s May release date, a film that also stars Diesel. Bloodshot was originally supposed to start off a shared cinematic universe based on some of the classic Valiant Entertainment characters as a film based off the Harbinger characters is also in development, leading up to one of the publishers best events, Harbinger Wars. But in a strange move, Sony Pictures sold the rights to Harbinger to Paramount Pictures, putting the future of a Valiant Cinematic Universe in question.

Bloodshot was created by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton and first made his appearance in the pages of Eternal Warrior #4 back in 1992 for Valiant Comics. Recently one of my favorite writers Jeff Lemire explored the more human side of Bloodshot, Raymond Garrison, who is a soldier that suffers amnesia about his past and that thanks to nanites in his blood, can quickly heal, shape shift and even control close by technology.
Sony Pictures’ Bloodshot, is directed by Dave Wilson based off the script by Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow. Joining Vin Diesel on the film is Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan and Toby Kebbell.
Bloodshot slams into theaters March 13th, 2020.
