Tod we are sharing the rumored Madame Web cast and characters. The Cosmic Circus claims to have verified with multiple sources that the following actors and the characters they play are correct. As always with Barside Buzz, this is not official. However, TCC has a great hit rate and they appear very confident of this information.

Here is what the site had to say about the Madame Web cast and characters.

It’s been known that Dakota Johnson is playing Madame Web but it hasn’t been completely clear which Madame Web.

When Sydney Sweeney was announced there were a lot of guesses about who she could be playing and from Black Cat, to Silver Sable, to Spider Gwen to Jessica Drew to… yes, Julia Carpenter. I can confirm that it’s the latter.

Next, we have Celeste O’Connor who is playing Mattie Franklin. It’s unclear to me what Mike Epps’ role in the film is, but I would not be surprised if he’s playing Mattie’s dad Jerry Franklin. It’s also unclear at this time what hero name some of these characters will go by because at different points Julia Carpenter and Mattie have both gone by Spider-Woman, and Julia has gone by both Madame Web and Spiderwoman. 

Isabela Merced is playing Anya Corazon aka Spider-Girl.

Adam Scott is playing Uncle Ben [Parker].

Emma Roberts is playing Peter Parker’s mother [Mary] in Madame Web. It is unclear where her husband and Ben’s brother Richard Parker is or who may be playing him at this time. However, the fact that Roberts was caught looking very pregnant should mean he will pop up as well as someone else we already know and love by the end of it (hopefully).

If you’ve ever read much of LRM, you probably know there’s not many of us here into Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. I just don’t get it, other than some attempt to try and convince casual fans their movies are part of the MCU. I have zero interest in anything Sony makes for this franchise and I see no reason to change my mind with Madame Web. Ben and a pregnant Mary Parker, that’s what they’re doing, really?

Is there anyone with actual talent left working for Sony Pictures at this point? As always, we will wait and see. Maybe Madame Web will be amazing and banish all memories of the Venom and Morbius movies. Maybe Madame Web will say, ‘it’s webbing’ time’? Or maybe the fanbase will just pretend the line was there like they did with Morbius?

I’ll wait for the brave to try this first before I even consider it.  Sony, I am once again asking you to tell the Spider-Man licence to someone who gives a damn.
