Spider-Man 3, or Spider-Man 3: The Second, is deep in production and star Tom Holland is doing his best to keep his mouth shut when dealing with the press. Holland denies the rumored appearance of cameos and actors, including past Spider-Men and Daredevil. Holland no longer needs Benedict Cumberbatch to keep his mouth shut.
I miss the Infinity War days. Simpler times.
Now, there are generic statements that Holland is allowed to comment on concerning Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man 3. As with any movie one is hyping, some hyperbolic statements from the star are required.
So, as it tradition, Holland told Den Of Geek:
The film is incredibly ambitious, and I’m delighted to say that we’re succeeding in making it. It’s going really well. We watched a fight scene that we had shot a few weeks ago, and I’ve never seen a fight scene quite like it in the MCU. I’m really excited for audiences to see that.

At least he didn’t claim it was the biggest fight scene he’d ever been in. After all, Spider-Man fought Thanos! Again, I miss those simpler times.
See, saying something like, “I’ve never seen a fight scene quite like that in the MCU,” makes different Spider-Men and a broken Multiverse seem more and more likely. My best thought and theory is that we aren’t getting a full on Spider-Verse adventure in Spider-Man 3.
I think we’ll see a finale of Holland’s Spider-Man getting punched into different dimensions, suddenly showing up in say a fight against Doc Ock with Tobey Maguire. Then thrown through a portal and fighting Electro. That kind of thing. That would be unique without it necessarily being the most ambitious fight scene in the MCU.
I’m certainly excited for another Spider-Man 3! Hopefully, lessons are learned from the first. We’ll all find out on December 17. Unless… we get another release day shift… sigh…
