Spider-Man 3: Willem Dafoe Spotted On Set?

Goodness gracious, out of all the old Spider-Man actors I want to see in the latest Spider-Man 3, it’s Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin! Alfred Molina is a close second, mind you.

Look, with all the rumors, “set sightings,” Grub Hub deliveries, it seems like even Howard the Duck could be in the mix, as if feels anything is possible with this overloaded project.

GWW reports that the great Dafoe has been spotted on the Atlanta set of Spider-Man 3, and this is the rumor I want to be most true!

This, combined with The Illuminerd‘s report in December that Willem Dafoe and Thomas Hayden Church were in talks to join Spider-Man 3, seems to bring us closer to the truth. Though with all these rumored characters returning, I tend to be rather skeptical until I see an official cast list or trailer for the film.

With Tom Holland calling the film, ” the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever mad,” there has to be truth to some of these theories. Otherwise, how could a solo film possibly be a big as Captain America: Civil War? That film technically counts as a solo film, in my book. It’s a Captain America and Bucky story, not Iron Man’s.

Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin remains my favorite villain performance in any superhero film. I always thought he’d make a great Joker as well, but having him back in this role is even better!
