A new claim on the Barside Buzz that Spider-Man 4 will be a direct sequel to Avengers: Doomsday and be followed up by Avengers: Secret Wars. Now release schedule wise this all makes perfect sense without any rumors. However, the actual story of Spider-Man 4 has been all over the place in the last year. I guess this claim from Daniel RPK on Patreon is that they finally have a story locked. Whilst plot details remain unknown Daniel says he’s heard it’s being developed as a direct sequel, meant to sandwich the two Avengers movies.
Some fans have theorised whether this means Spider-Man 4 is actually set in Battle World? That of course is taking some inspiration from the Secret Wars comic books. However, we still don’t know yet how things will end in Doomsday.
What this does imply is that if there is a delay to Doomsday as has been rumored, Spider-Man 4 would also have to slip. Spider-Man 4 was recently delayed by only one week to stay away from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Daniel says he’s also heard Blade is ready to go finally and should film to come out post-Secret Wars.

*Vision Quest hasn’t begun yet and theoretically it could slip. However, it seems currently like it is on course for a 2026 release. Could that have any relevance to the plot of the Avengers films? Equally, we now know Daredevil is going to be yearly so we will get Season 2 in 2026. It could however release before Doomsday but we don’t know that for sure yet. Vision Quest definitely won’t arrive before Doomsday for me. I also did not include animated series, nor The Punisher Special Presentation which is coming.
After Secret Wars, who knows for sure? We think, Blade, X-Men Reboot, Midnight Suns, but until they film, or get dated who knows? As for TV, I’ll guess more Daredevil, Wonder Man, Agatha/Wiccan and maybe if we’re lucky Nova.
