Spider-Man was a bit of a work in progress in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. When Stark found the young New Yorker, Peter Parker was pretty much running around in pajamas. It didn’t take long for Stark to give Peter a much-needed costume upgrade. This seems to be a trend that will continue in Spidey’s first solo outing, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING.
As we know, Robert Downey Jr. is set to make yet another appearance as Tony Stark in the film, and if a recent image is any indication, it looks like Peter may be getting yet another web-shooters upgrade.
Take a look at the hi-res photo below, courtesy of Atlanta Filming.
Admittedly, the differences are pretty minute. If you compare the photo at the top of the page with the one directly above, there’s hardly a difference at first glance. After looking it over, the difference seems to mostly be in texture, in that the new one has more of a web aesthetic to it. In addition, the actual “shooters” part of it seems to be substantially bigger, in that it appears to go almost halfway down Spidey’s forearm instead of just cover his wrists. Could it be that Stark gives Peter an upgrade that will allow him to worry less about running out of web? We’ll have to wait and see.
What are your thoughts on the new web-shooters? Do you like the look, are there too few differences to care? Let us know your thoughts down below!
