Avengers: Endgame is clearly still dominating the box office, but many individuals are curious as to what the aftermath will bring in terms of other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The next big Marvel flick coming our way is Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Fandango recently had an interview with director Jon Watts about the release of the most recent trailer. A large focus was on what unfolded from Endgame (which can be read in the source link below), but there were some other character questions as well.
Even though Spider-Man: Homecoming alluded to fan-favorite Miles Morales, Far From Home does not appear to be the film he will be making his debut…but it could happen. Jon Watts stated:
“There is no Miles in this film, or at least not yet. But who knows…we edit these films down to the last second, so you never know.”
There looks to be a slight possibility, but I do like the fact that they do not want to cram a film with characters just for the sake of it (see the Schumacher Batman movies and many former Spider-Man movies).
What about our beloved Aunt May? She didn’t seem to be touched by the snap, or was she? Did she survive the snap initially? Watts went on to say that she disappeared and came back, so it looks as if she is fully restored, but was affected at some point.
What did you think of the new trailer? Are you excited for the next installment? Do you want them to include Miles Morales, or do you think that would be character overload? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot and thanks for reading!
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2, 2019.
