When we saw that first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, it wasn’t quite clear what it meant for Peter Parker and his classmates. It seemed as though the film pretty much ignored the events in Avengers: Infinity War, which led many to believe Avengers: Endgame would virtually eradicate the Snap from existence. We now know that isn’t what happened. They may have brought back all the victims, but the world still retained the scar of those five years without them.
Now, the trailer took on a new tone, pretty much confirming that all of Peter’s friends that we saw in Spider-Man: Homecoming were snapped out of existence and then brought back. But what does this mean for all of Peter’s friends and their relationship with one another? Speaking with Fandango, Zendaya gave some extra insight into how the Snap affected their relationship with one another.
“It kind of puts our characters in a special place, because now we come back and the world’s kind of changed, and we all have to kind of depend on each other a little bit more, because we’re like the oddballs now. We kind of have to confide in each other with that experience, and that’s cool.”

But, of course, their relationship wasn’t the only thing affected by the Snap. It sounds like Zendaya’s character, MJ, will also be coming out of her shell a bit in this movie.
“I think in the first movie obviously you didn’t get to see much of her, but she was like a very guarded, sarcastic, character and I think you get to see why she has that guard, and slowly watch her melt a little bit.”
Is the Snap partially responsible for this melting? Is it something that is more of a result of the events in the film? We only have another week or so until we find out!
