One of my favorite actors of all time is Sylvester Stallone.  Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s was the height of action movies and he was at the pinnacle during that time period.  From the Rocky franchise to Rambo and even Judge Dredd, he is a favorite.  Even though he has appeared in the MCU in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Stallone has not been featured in his own superhero film.  That has now changed as he stars in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video film Samaritan.

The first trailer for Samaritan was released and you can check it out below.

The premise of Samaritan is a young boy Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is actually a legend hiding in plain sight. Twenty-five years ago, Granite City’s super-powered vigilante, Samaritan, was reported dead after a fiery warehouse battle with his rival, Nemesis. Most believe Samaritan perished in the fire, but some in the city, like Sam, have hope that he is still alive. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to coax his neighbor out of hiding to save the city from ruin.
