Star Trek: Discovery Renewed For 4th Season

Star Trek: Discovery

Last night was the exciting return of CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Discovery. This third season sees the USS Discovery crew 930 years into the future after the events of season 2. Last week the first season of the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks wrapped up. So with a lot going on with the Star Trek franchise, why not keep it going!

Today via a YouTube video CBS All Access, they have announced that Star Trek: Discovery will be returning for a fourth season. Furthermore, they also announced that the cast and crew will be returning to work on November 2nd for the next season. You can check out the announcement below!

The announcement was made by Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones. Along with executive producers and co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise. Kurtzman proudly proclaims, “We are back!” Martin-Green says she is “excited to be back on set… It’s going to be great to see everybody and I think we are really going to love on each other.”

Here is the synopis for the current season of Discovery:
After following Commander Burnham into the wormhole in the second season finale, Season 3 of “Star Trek: Discovery” finds the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery landing in an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S. Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must work together to restore hope to the Federation.

As a fan of the Star Trek franchise, I am excited that they are going to keep this series going for at least another season. Giving me more reason to stay invested. I am also excited to see what the other spin-off series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will have to offer. I am still not sure about a second Star Trek: Picard season though.
