Star Trek: Picard Teaser Hints At Picard’s Tragic History With Starfleet

Star Trek: The Original Series may have boldly gone where no one has gone before first, and audiences may forever adore Captain Kirk for it, but there are plenty of fans who have a love for the Next Generation crew, which was captained by none other than Jean-Luc Picard, played by the incomparable Patrick Stewart. In the eyes of many, he could be seen as the superior captain, even if he wasn’t in the superior show.

For years, the idea of a Picard spin-off has been teased, in about a year or so ago, the rumblings started to get serious on the heels of Star Trek: Discovery‘s release. And then momentum really started to hit with this thing. And before I even realized it, we had a teaser sitting here right in front of us for Star Trek: Picard…but where would the story see Picard?

The teaser doesn’t really give us a whole lot to work with. It’s wonderfully minimalist in its approach, with much of the screen time being devoted to beautiful shots of a vineyard, with a woman asking Picard about his past and then questioning what made him lose faith, and more importantly, what made him leave Starfleet?

However, the more important question I want answered is where I can get a bottle of Chateau Picard.

What do you think of the first teaser? Let us know down below!
