With Star Wars: The Last Jedi around the corner, you can bet your asses that we’ll be getting a boatload of Star Wars-related fanmade videos over the coming weeks. From fake trailers to parodies and loving tributes, the internet has proven itself to be a place where countless creatives go to show their love of the franchise.

This latest video is called “Storm: A Star Wars Story,” and it follows a down-on-his luck Stormtrooper who dares to have a love affair with an alien.

“When a Stormtrooper named Ian feels his life is missing something, it takes a Rodian named Teedo to fill the missing piece of his heart. Don’t miss the latest in the new Star Wars Indie series and a film that begs the question, ‘Why can’t all movies be set in the Star Wars universe?’”

The trailer sells the fake parody film as your typical self-discovery indie, and on some levels it works. However, like many parodies online, it does have the negative effect of somewhat overstaying its welcome. About halfway through, the concept gets a bit old, and the only thing that brought me back into it was the terrible “relation-ship” quote.

What did you think of this parody trailer for “Storm: A Star Wars Story”? Let us know your thoughts down below!

Is it oaky, that I am kind of sick of wannabes, and ‘fan films’?
