We’re all waiting on pins and needles for that new trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX. Even if you hated Star Wars: The Last Jedi, chances are you’re kinda waiting to see just how Lucasfilm will follow up that controversial film. Will it double down on the more controversial elements of that movie? Will it give in completely and pander to the loudest fans? Or will it somehow manage to split the difference in some way? We’ll have a better idea of all that once we get a look at the trailer.
But when in the hell is a trailer actually coming? That’s been a big question for months. Many were expecting it last year. Many were expecting it last month. Many still are expecting it this month. But still, there are no signs pointing in any real direction — at least not in any official capacity. But recently, the official Star Wars Twitter account for the UK posted an interesting tweet.

The calm before the storm? What in the hell are they teasing? Well, given that they’re pulling shots from the Prequel and Original trilogy, it’s hard for me to believe they’re actually teasing the trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX — though the barrage of comments from fans would have you guessing otherwise. If I were to guess, it’d be that they were teasing Star Wars Celebration details.
Perhaps that’ll be the big announcement. And hey, maybe they’ll even reveal that Star Wars Celebration is when we’ll finally get out first taste of the film. Based on everything I’ve heard, that’s where things are pointing. But it’s all hearsay at this point, and I’d still throw everything you’ve heard into the rumor category, as Disney and Lucasfilm are pretty solid at keeping most secrets.
