Over the weekend it was announced that Disney XD’s hit Star Wars show has been renewed for a fourth season. Rebels is in the middle of Season 3 where the crew is actively recruiting new groups for the rebellion against the empire. The biggest anticipation yet is the rematch between Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul. While the news of being renewed for a fourth season isn’t a surprise but we won’t know the major story line until April at Star Wars Celebration. The fourth season is scheduled to premiere on Disney XD later this year continuing the thrilling and inspiring galactic adventures of the Ghost crew.

Star Wars Rebels takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope following a young group rise in the Rebellion. Every season of Rebels has seen the return of fan favorites like Darth Vader, Ahsoka Tano, Mon Mothma, Princess Leia, and Obi Wan Kenobi.
“Star Wars Rebels” is created by Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) and Carrie Beck. The Lucasfilm Animation production is executive produced by Filoni and Kinberg.
