Some Star Wars Barside Buzz hit recently that claims to have some basic plot details of the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter. The next Star Wars movie to hit post-Mandalorian and Grogu, all we really know about the film is the cast and crew and that it is set post-TROS.
There have been rumors that star Ryan Gosling plays an uncle to Flynn Gray’s prospective Jedi and has to get him to safety whilst the villains (Mia Goth and Matt Smith) pursue him.
A leaker account that has an association to the now dead MSW has been one of the few leakers claiming any details for Star Wars movies at the moment. Truth is that either Lucasfilm has gotten better at security, or far more likely there just isn’t enough interest in Star Wars leaks/rumors.

“Mia Goth will be playing a force-senstive, lightsaber using character. She will be working for a warlord/arms dealer (Matt Smith) who is infamous across the galaxy. And yes, she is on the hunt for Ryan Gosling’s nephew.”
“There have been various rumors saying she is a Sith cultist. Those are false. I would describe her more [as] a mercenary (think of Baylan and Shin). While she has ties to Matt Smith’s character, she has her own agenda and plans. Plans that might involve training a certain someone.”

“As for that certain someone… the rumors are true. His [Flynn Gray] mother (Amy Adams) is force-sensitive, and so is he. At the beginning of the film, she is killed, but in her dying moments, gives her son her lightsaber and tells him to go find his uncle, who he’s never met. The kid’s pretty smart, and manages to get off-world, finding his uncle in a cantina, a washed-up pilot and war hero haunted by ghosts of his past.”
“The two don’t exactly get along at first, but in classic Star Wars fashion, I think you can imagine how it’s going to go.”
Fives also had this to say about the Mia Goth casting,
“Mia Goth’s codename is Kia. The codename existed before she was cast. The Mikey Madison rumors were true. Shawn Levy personally met with her and specifically envisioned her for the role from the start.”
“Star Wars always goes for unknowns in roles, but Shawn Levy is a clear departure. Several unknown actresses early in their careers got very close before Mia Goth was cast.”
So there you have it folks. If these plot rumors are true, and they do seem to line up with old rumors, we have a rough idea of what Starfighter is about. The film, directed by Shawn Levy will be with us on May 28, 2027.
