Star Wars: Starfighter officially wraps filming as the theatrical trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu leaks online. First, Starfighter which as per the title has officially wrapped filming as per the Instagram post from director Shawn Levy. Levy also shared an image you can see on the link of him on a film set. Hard to say what it was, but it looks like a futuristic corridor.
Star Wars: Starfighter will be in theatres on May 28, 2027. Therefore, Levy has around 5 months of post-production to get the film ready. No doubt there are a ton of VFX shots in the film that need to be completed.
Plot details remain under wraps. However, rumors point to Gosling’s character escorting his Force Sensitive nephew to safety. In chase are the villains led by Mia Goth and Matt Smith. Amy Adams is rumored to play the boy’s mother and sister or sister in law to Gosling’s character. Levy has previously said this is a brand new story and not connected intrinsically to the films that came before it or will come after it. Thematically though, the movie is set supposedly around 5+ years post-The Rise of Skywalker.

Meanwhile, Disney are suffering from more trailer leaks. Though this one is honestly not too bad, considering. The majority of this The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer is the one we have already seen. No links here, because it’s recorded from a theatre. However, there are some new scenes not shown in the trailer that is currently online.
It begins with Mando teaching Grogu how to fit his armour properly. Then there are a lot of familiar scenes. then finally we get another new look. Mando is in a fighting pit battling various alien species. It definitely matches what we’ve heard on the Barside Buzz so far.
Still, not quite as bad as the Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day leaks. So there’s that Disney.
