According to a now deleted report from Collider, Star Wars: The Bad Batch release date will be May 4th this year. Collider has since deleted this report, perhaps the information isn’t supposed to be out there yet? However, here is what it said below. “Disney has announced that Star Wars: The Bad Batch will premiere on Tuesday, May 4th. Per the official synopsis, “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army – each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.”
We have two possibilities at work here. Either Collider pulled this because the information was incorrect, or they pulled it because Lucasfilm told them to. Fans already seem to think the latter. May 4th, is of course, known as Star Wars day. It would also mark a year to to day since the final Season of The Clone Wars ended. Disney normally releases content on a Friday, the 4th is a Tuesday. However, Disney did release The Mandalorian Episode 1 mid-week, and then Episode 2 on the same Friday. It is possible a similar approach could be used here?

No idea on that front, but whatever the plan is, it seem things begin on May 4th. The Bad Batch deals with the members of the Bad Batch, a group of Clone Troopers. However, as the name suggest these troopers didn’t quite turn out right. Those unique differences however, allow the team to do things normal Clone Troopers cannot. The events of this show will deal with the aftermath of the Clone Wars when the Empire began to assert control.
