The upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi has a lot of pressure riding on it. While Star Wars: The Force Awakens was supposed to reintroduce audiences to Luke Skywalker, the long-awaited Jedi didn’t utter a single word before the iconic Star Wars credits rolled in. While it did irk us a bit at the time, it’s allowed us to heavily anticipate the impending sequel, which is sure to feature Luke much more heavily. When reintroduced to Luke, we saw him with a very Jedi-esque robe and cloak, which was incredibly fitting of the hermit. Though while he’ll continue to wear that outfit when The Last Jedi picks up, it of course, won’t be the only look he’ll be sporting, as shown in a new cover image.

This image comes courtesy of a Twitter use, who picked up a copy of the Hungarian magazine Cinemania Mozimania, and it shows Luke clad in black. I have to say, I really dig that cloak he has going on, and it really seems like he’s ready to take care of some business.
However, I especially enjoy that this image reminds me of his look in Return of the Jedi, and this tells me that the character will indeed be seeing some sort of action down the line. While his whiter garment had the whole “sitting by myself hermit” feel, this one feels decidedly more active in its style. We may have been underwhelmed with his appearance in The Force Awakens, but if this is any indication, they’ll more than be making up for it.
