Star Wars: The Last Jedi has finished its theatrical run, and has now been released digitally! If you’re an Apple TV owner like this writer, it’s already available on iTunes and ready for purchase. If, for some reason, you need more incentives to purchase the digital version, look no further than the feature-length documentary, The Director and the Jedi.
This new documentary chronicles the making of the controversial Star Wars flick. If you’re one of the many fans who hated the film, then this could be an especially juicy watch for you. In the trailer for the doc, we get to see Rian Johnson go all-in on this unique vision of the Star Wars universe — something I’m sure many fans wish didn’t happen.
In addition to the development of the story, it’ll also take us behind the scenes of the actual set, giving us extra insight into some major, iconic scenes. Even if you disliked the film, it looks like there are all sorts of production goodies for film buffs to cling onto, as it shows a lot of how some of the tangible special effects were accomplished on set.
