Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer has finally hit!
A couple years back, at the tail end of 2015, Star Wars: The Force Awakens gave us the world’s worst cliffhanger. After 30-plus years of waiting, we finally got to see Luke Skywalker in another Star Wars flick, and they had the gall to give him absolutely nothing to say. Now, with this next movie, we’ll finally be able to hear our hero utter some words, and if you’ve watched the new trailer already, you know what he says an awful lot.
So after months and months of speculation, of set photo leaks, info leaks, and everything in between, we finally have not only a new teaser trailer — which gives us a whole lot of insight into what we can expect — but a brand new poster as well.
The poster is especially spellbinding, because it’s a very clear callback to that original iconic poster back in the ’70s, which featured Luke, his hands raised and a lightsaber overhead. At his side was Princess Leia, and most notably, this shirt was ripped open to reveal his ripped upper body. This one certainly go that far with the machismo aspect, but it does have a similar pose, this time with Rey (it even has the flare-looking thing at the base).
