No doubt about it. The Mandalorian has left its mark on pop culture. Between Baby Yoda and the “I have spoken” and “This is the way” meme, I think it’s safe to say that Disney+ is off to a good start with its streaming service, as is Star Wars on the whole television front. It’s by no means a perfect show, but fans seem to be eating it up nonetheless.

Well, pack your spare Mandalorian suit, because it sounds like we won’t have too long to wait for the new season of the show, as indicated by creator Jon Favreau on Twitter.

But what does the future hold for the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda? What spacefaring folks will they come across in their journeys ahead? We’ll have to wait and see, but Deadline is reporting that we can expect “characters from the Skywalker saga’s feature films mythology” to make appearances in the upcoming season.

Given the timeline of the show, this would seem to indicate folks who were alive between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, which does open up a whole host of potentials.
