It’s taken quite a bit of time, but it looks like one of the original trilogy character favorites is on his way back to the world of Star Wars. Wedge Antilles, one of the star fighter pilots of the Rebellion, has been absent from the films since Original Trilogy, and many fans had expressed their umbrage at Abrams not including him in The Force Awakens.
Now, it sounds like the cries have been heard and heeded, as indicated by the new book, Star Wars: Resistance Reborn. Ther are two things revealed in said book, as mentioned by Coming Soon. The first is that actor Denis Lawson will be returning to play the Antilles in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and the second is that he has an adopted son.

But who is the son? None other than Snap Wexley, who fans may remember from The Force Awakens — and he’s confirmed to be returning in The Rise of Skywalker. According to the book, Wedge adopted Snap and even trained him and Poe Dameron at the Academy.
