According to leading games insider Jeff Grubb, Bethesda’s Starfield will be Xbox exclusive. Ever since Xbox purchased Bethesda’s parent company Zenimax fans have wondered whether the future games from Bethesda would be exclusives. From an Xbox exclusive point of view that means only available on Xbox or PC.
There are already some games from the Zenimax family that will release on PlayStation, two are even PS exclusives due to existing deals. However fans were unsure whether Xbox would make Bethesda games exclusive, or make money off selling them to PS users?
Overall, that still remains to be seen. However it was always expected that at least some of Zenimax owned games would now be exclusive to Xbox. The only game we are discussing here specifically though is Starfield. Starfield is expected to be a sprawling intergalactic RPG and has been in development for the last few years. It is expected that Starfield will be ‘revealed’ sometime this year, though a release date is unknown. However according to Grubb, when that reveal does happen, it will say Xbox exclusive on it.
Starfield is exclusive to Xbox and PC. Period. This is me confirming that. https://t.co/j78Msk8nyG

Bethesda’s Starfield is one of the most anticipated games in development. There is no doubt that at least a portion of PS players will want to experience the game. Of course that may all depend on how good the game is and how word of mouth spreads. Yet, that is true of any game, movie, show. I’m not a massive RPG player, but I must admit the idea of exploring the Galaxy in an interactive RPG. As an Xbox Game Pass subscriber I do have the advantage of being able to sample any new Bethesda games that come from this point out.
How much of a selling point is that going to be for Xbox Series X/S? Or, will PS players instead turn to PC gaming for their upcoming Bethesda fixes? All we can say for now is that it appears Starfield will be Xbox exclusive. Will the likes of Elder Scrolls IV also be Xbox exclusive? You’d be crazy to bet against it.
