Life as a standup comedian is hard enough. So, to stiff standup comedians of their hard-earned money on the road doesn’t bode well in the comedy film Stealing Jokes.
The film stars Jeff Dye (1/2 New Year, The Wedding Year), Haha Davis(Da Pop-Up Movie, I Got a Story to Tell), Dustin Ybarra (We Bought a Zoo, Us), Ryu Go Eun (WeCrashed, The Other Two), and Michael Rapaport (Deep Blue Sea, Beautiful Girls). Mike Young directed and wrote the movie.
Here is the synopsis:
In the film, comedian Jake Burman (Dye) and friends (including Davis) head out on tour. After getting stiffed for their pay on their first gig, they decide to rob the venue, setting the stage for a hilarious heist through the comedy underworld.
