Stellan Skarsgard Says Andor Is Star Wars For Grown Ups And Teases Release Window

In a recent interview Andor actress Adria Arjona says she thinks Season 2 is better than Season 1 of the series.

In a recent interview veteran actor Stellan Skarsgard says Andor is Star Wars for grown ups, and teases a release window for Season 2. Speaking with Total Film/Games Radar Skarsgard is excited to share what’s in store for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed Star Wars series. Without even reading his quotes, I agreed with this headline anyway, so that tells you where I stand on Andor. It was phenomenal.

“It’s the last season of it. It ends where Rogue One starts so it’s up to that point. I think it will be very good as already the first one was satisfying for me because it’s sort of Star Wars for grown-ups – it’s a more realistic and complicated society that they’re living in and the claustrophobia of the fascist regime is palpable. I think we have a good season ahead of us.”

Music to my ears, and can I pray for another Luthen monologue this season, because that was class. The main question I have is when do we get to see Andor Season 2 for ourselves?

“It will probably be out towards the end of the year or early next.”

Which is kinda what we thought. Andor Season 2 has not been listed on any material from Disney for 2024, however things change. I’m happy to wait till 2025 if Season 2 is as good as Season 1. To say this is my most anticipated Star Wars project currently in development would be an understatement.

I do agree with Skarsgard that Andor is Star Wars for grown ups. I just hope this is not the last time we get to see Star Wars for grown ups under Disney.

What do you think of Stellan Skarsgard’s comments about Andor Season 2 and the possible release window? Thoughts below as usual.
