Stellan Skarsgard Very Happy With Andor Season 2 So Far

In a recent interview Andor actress Adria Arjona says she thinks Season 2 is better than Season 1 of the series.

In a recent interview veteran actor Stellan Skarsgard says he’s very happy with Andor Season 2. Skarsgard was simply a treat as Rebel agitator Luthen in Andor, and fans of that show can’t wait to see what he gets up to in Season 2. Speaking with Gizmondo recently the outlet says Skarsgard’s face lit up when brought up his work on Andor. So did mine when I read their headline, it’s one of favourite shows of the last 5 years. I’ve also said and will say again that Andor is for me the best Star Wars media to be created since 1983. Yes, I said media, not just live-action or even visual.

Skarsgard will next be seen on screen in Dune Part 2. However filming for Andor Season 2 has been going for some time. We expect to see Season 2 in 2025 at this point. Of course, Skarsgard isn’t going to be giving any spoilers away, but he did say this on Andor Season 2.

“I’m satisfied where it goes, yeah,” he said. “It’s such good writing and it’s Tony Gilroy, I really like to say his lines.”

Okay, not much is said here by Skarsgad, but I kinda like that he enjoys making the show and saying Gilroy’s lines. Given Luthen had a wonderful monologue in Season 1 it whet’s my appetite for what may be to come in Season 2.

I also think it would be fair to say that most fans do not expect Luthen to survive Season 2. We already know Cass’s fate and it’s hardly a happy ending. I don’t feel like Andor is going to have any happy endings and I’m not sure it should. The happy ending of Andor is Return of the Jedi, or if we wish to be more specific we can say A New Hope. Andor isn’t about happy endings, it’s about the nasty stuff that happens to get to that happy ending, and the ruthlessness inhumanity (Earth equivalent) of the authoritarian Empire.

The only question in my mind is how it happens and what eventually claims his life. I can’t wait!

What do you think of his comments as Stellan Skarsgard says he’s very happy with Andor Season 2? Thoughts below, how do you hope Luthen get’s whacked?
