If you don’t follow Stephen Amell on TikTok you should. Widely known for his role as Oliver Queen on the CW’s Arrow he is now one of the leads on the show Heels. While he is relatively new to the social media platform he truly is a showman for the app. Instead of just basic videos talking to the camera, Amell loves to share his wrestling persona on the viral app.
In his most recent TikTok, Stephen Amell shared that he has begun his training for the upcoming season of Heels. The training that he will go through will not be a typical workout to improve his physique. Amell does a lot of the wrestling stunts in the show. A big fan of wrestling, Stephen Amell has participated in wrestling matches for different promotions including WWE. His plan is to chronicle his training leading up to the beginning of filming. While sharing his plan to document the progression, Amell also gives his viewers some insight into his relationship with his neighbors which is quite hilarious.

There are two sides to the pro wrestling character coin: “faces” and “heels” — heroes vs villains. But what happens when real life and this fantasy world collide? Heels is a story about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small-town pro wrestling. Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals, Jack Spade (Stephen Amell) and Ace Space (Alexander Ludwig), war over their late father’s legacy. In the ring, someone must play the good guy (Ludwig) and someone must play their nemesis, the heel (Amell). But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or hard to leave behind.
You can watch all of the first season of Heels on STARZ or you can pick it up on DVD on February 15 from Lionsgate.
