Today, we get our first look at the cast in the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon. HBO released its first production images and we get to see Matt Smith sporting the Targaryen blonde hair along with Emma D’Arcy on a beach scene.

Matt Smith has been cast to play Prince Daemon Targaryen along with Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Game of Throne’s Twitter account gave us behind the scenes a socially distanced table read on April 26. Now, the House of the Dragon‘s Twitter account gives us scenes from production.

House of the Dragon‘s Twitter also released images of other cast members Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Valaryon, also known as the Sea Snake, and Olivia Cooke with Rhys Ifans as Alicent Hightower and Otto Hightower.
A Little Bit About The Show
House of the Dragon is set 300 years before the Game of Thrones events. The series will be based on George R.R. Martin’s book, Fire & Blood, and will follow the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen before House Targaryen’s descent from power.

Expect to see House of the Dragon in 2022. Until then, we will just have to wait and enjoy all the little gifts we receive from them on Twitter.
