Storm Reid Possibly Joining The Cast Of Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad has had an interesting road since the 2016 film by David Ayer was released. Although it made $350 million domestically and $750 million worldwide, the film was rightfully trashed by critics. Due to this James Gunn, director of the Guardians of the Galaxy films was brought in to write and helm the sequel also titled Suicide Squad after he was let go by Disney. Currently the plot is being held under wraps.

We have reported many of the confirmed and rumored cast members for the film, which include returning actors and actresses like Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. One of the new cast members is  is a fan favorite, Idris Elba, who’s character is currently undisclosed. TheWrap is reporting today that star of Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, Storm Reid is being eyes to take on the role of Elba’s characters daughter in the film. It’s important to note that although there currently isn’t a deal in place, she is the top contender for the role.

Reid who is repped by CAA, Management 360 and Felker Toczek, will star next in Universal/Blumhouse’s The Invisible Man along with Elisabeth Moss, which is set to debut March 13th, 2020. She has also stared in Best Picture Oscar winner 12 Years a Slave, When They See Us and Euphoria. Reid and Warner Bros. both declined to comment.
