Stranger Things 3: Lucas’ Sister Promoted To Series Regular In Upcoming Season

Stranger Things 2 had a lot of great moments in it. From the continued homages to the 1980s to delightfully dark deaths that permeate the season. But Stranger Things has never only been about homages and action. It also has a great deal of heart and relatability to it as well.

Of course, many of us geeks relate to the handful of kids who populate the show. They’re fun, geeky, and make no apologies for their interests, but like many of us, they were made fun of…even by their own siblings. Enter Erica, Lucas’ little sister. In an early episode of last season, Lucas and the rest were dressed up for Halloween as Ghostbusters.

Lucas’ younger sister Erica, however, was not having, and condescendingly mouthed the word “nerd” as he took photos in their front yard.

She was a runaway hit of a character, and we already knew that she would be getting a bigger part, but according to THR, she’s been bumped up to a series regular.

“She definitely has a bigger part this season,” actor Noah Schnapp told the outlet, “and she kind of has her own storyline with someone from the cast.”
