Netflix has seemingly had a fantastic time with their marketing for Stranger Things 2. Not only had we had more traditional trailers and teasers for the upcoming season, but we’ve also had a video game, joke trailers, homage posters, fake security footage, and countless other things.
Well, you can file this little piece of marketing under “other.” In this weird little Easter egg, you can experience the Upside Down on Netflix. Yeah, it sounds a little weird, but it’s actually pretty cool. Here’s how you do it.
If you go to the Netflix website on a desktop computer, search “Stranger Things.” From there, click the down arrow that brings up the information about the title. At the far right, you’ll notice to the right of Nancy’s face is a glowing red hole (pictured above). Click on that and you’ll be transported to an Upside Down version of the site.
In it, you’ll hear a heartbeat throughout, and see all kinds of weird floating things clouding the titles onscreen. Your mouse is used as a flashlight, and you’ll be able to feel your way around the screen before the light goes out, and a demagorgon pops up.
