Stranger Things’ David Harbour Joins Black Widow Movie

Marvel Studios’ Black Widow movie already has a heavy-hitter in the form of its main star Scarlett Johansson, but it also helps to have a solid supporting cast. Florence Pugh has already hopped onto this film in a leading role alongside Johansson, but we have another star readying to lead on the male side of things.

According to a report from THR, Stranger Things‘ David Harbour has joined the movie in an unknown role. I know. It sucks. The movie is heading towards a June production date, and overall details are still sparse. Of course, Harbour is no stranger to comic book movies. He is headlining the upcoming Hellboy reboot, and he also appeared in Suicide Squad as that one military dude in the conference room with the rest of the brass.

Specific details surrounding Black Widow‘s plot are elusive, but THR claims that, as originally speculated, the film will follow the character in her pre-SHIELD days. Here’s what the outlet had to say in its synopsis:

“[Black Widow is] an internationally-set story centering on Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and Avenger.”
