Seemingly in an effort to keep the conversation going during the massive Stranger Things drought that we’re in the middle of (and in an effort to lock down Emmy consideration), Netflix has been pretty religious about putting up some interesting behind-the-scenes pieces that delve into specific aspects of the filmmaking and creative process. Given how big the show has gotten — and how much it’s really clung to the pop culture aether — it was only a matter of time before their creators really took center stage.
In the latest featurette, we get the cast and crew really singing the praises of The Duffer Brothers, who created the show and run it. As you’d expect from a piece like this, they don’t really delve too much into the nitty-gritty of the process. The whole thing comes across as a real marathon of compliments towards the pair.

So, if you’re hoping to get a real idea of how these two handle the set, the difficulties they have in writing or shooting, or even any insecurities they may have, you’ll have to look elsewhere, as this video makes them seem like near-perfect fearless leaders. But even if that does rub you the wrong way (it kinda does for me), it’s still always fun to see stuff like this, as it reminds you how cool the show was and how much you can’t wait to the next big season.
If nothing else, this video could help sway Emmy consideration for the show, and perhaps with an extra push, it will be able to win in the categories last season failed.
