Stranger Things Star Millie Bobby Brown Once Again Denies She Is Going To Be In The Eternals

Stranger Things 4 Set Photos Indicate A Rough Time For Eleven

Yesterday we shared the fact that Millie Bobby Brown’s name was mentioned by the trade Variety as being in the cast of Marvel’s upcoming The Eternals movie. I did say on that article, which you can catch in the related section below that this could have been a mistake from the outlet, as Brown was previously rumored for this movie until the star herself denied having any involvement with it.

Perhaps that is the case, as after yesterday’s news broke fans took to Instagram to question Brown about whether she was in The Eternals and the young actress gave this pretty definitive live response.

“OK, guys, this is the problem. Everybody thinks that I’m going to be in a Marvel movie. Not that I know of. My family and I have no idea. So, I just want to let everybody know that I’m not… as of right now.”

I have to say that doesn’t sound like she has signed up and just isn’t allowed to tell anyone yet, it sounds like she hasn’t been contacted at all, but would welcome an approach in the future. I guess we won’t know anything certain about The Eternals until Marvel takes the stage at this year’s SDCC on July 20th. Is it possible Brown could be paraded on stage alongside the rest of the cast, yes it is, but I’d say this makes it severely unlikely at this point?

The rest of the cast seems more locked down, but again there is nothing official ta all about this movies very existence until SDCC. Until then all we have is speculation, though it does appear likely that Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden will suit up, or whatever Eternals do when the movie releases, and that’s expected to be second Marvel movie of 2020, after Black Widow.

I will say, that I had hoped this report was correct, because I think Brown is a phenomenal actress for her age and I predict she will be a megastar eventually. Marvel could do a lot worse than hire her now on a big contract for a recurring role. However, there is plenty of time and who knows, maybe they are looking at Brown for a role further down the line and that’s why some wires have been crossed on this one?

Are you bummed Millie Bobby Brown probably won’t be in The Eternals, or do you think she’d be better suited to another Marvel role further down the line? Share your thoughts in the usual spot down below.
