‘SUICIDE SQUAD’: Check out Belle Reve Prison in Twenty One Pilots Music Video

While it may seem like BATMAN v SUPERMAN only just came out, we’re less than a month and a half away from the release of the next film in the DC Extended Universe. The marketing has been going pretty regularly for months now, but the stakes are especially high for this outing, as it’s the film that needs to make up for lost ground from the release and overall disappointment of BATMAN v SUPERMAN. As such, we can expect WB to go the extra mile with this one. By the time the film hits theaters, they’re sure to make certain mainstream audiences know who these characters are and what this film has to offer.

Just a few days ago, the track list for the soundtrack was revealed, and we learned that the song “Heathens” from Twenty One Pilots would be on the album. Now, they’ve released a new music video from the band, wherein we see the band make their way through Belle Reve prison, where Task Force X (a.k.a. the Suicide Squad) is being held. Most of the footage is admittedly recycled from what we’ve seen in the trailers, save for some extended shots from what we’ve seen already and some alternate angles.

Check out the video below!

“It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”

SUICIDE SQUAD is directed by David Ayer and stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnamn as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and Jared Leto as the Joker.

The film hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
