Director, Taika Waititi, has done some crazy projects in the past. From What We Do in the Shadows to Thor: Ragnarok, Waititi is known for his unique comedy and it really is unique. Thor: Love and Thunder is now in post production and he and some of the actors have described it as ‘crazy’ and ‘touching.’ During an interview with Empire Magazine, Taika Waititi talks about how different Love and Thunder will be to Ragnarok. Thor: Ragnarok was pretty crazy so I’m excited to see how much crazier things can get.

Thor: Love and Thunder Director, Taika Waititi

Taika Waititi told Empire:

Well, just between (me and) you and the readers, I’ve done some crazy shit in my life. I’ve lived, like, ten lifetimes. But it’s the craziest film I’ve ever done. If you wrote down all the elements of this film, it shouldn’t make sense. It’s almost like it shouldn’t be made. If you walked into a room and said, ‘I want this and this and this.’ Who’s in it? These people. What are you going to call it? Love And Thunder. I mean, you’d never work again. Maybe I won’t after this.

It’s very different from Ragnarok. It’s crazier. I’ll tell you what’s different. There’ll be far more emotion in this film. And a lot more love. And a lot more thunder. And a lot more Thor, if you’ve seen the photos.

Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Waititi will be returning to their roles. Additionally, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe have been cast as Gorr and Zeus. Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on May 6, 2022 and I can’t wait to see it.
