Has there ever been a fake kidnapping gone right? Sam Li stars in the thriller Take The Night as a fake kidnapping victim for a birthday turned sour as the kidnappers decided to make it into a robbery.
The film also stars Roy Huang (Castle, Joyful Noise), Brennan Keel Cook (Encounter, Love You To Death), Shomari Love (Maya and Her Lover, The Chi), Antonio Aaron, and Grace Serrano.

An inventive, edgy crime thriller, Take The Night is a twisted tale of sibling rivalry and family secrets. An elaborate surprise birthday stunt heads into increasingly dark places when career criminals hired to stage a fake kidnapping go rogue. Older brother William secures a crew to stage a fake kidnapping of his brother Robert. But the crew has plans of their own. The brothers must put aside their sibling rivalry if they want to save the family fortune.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actor Sam Li on the brotherly love, kidnapping scenes, and the car chase.
Sam Li gained the industry’s attention after being cast in Women Is Losers opposite Simu Liu, which it premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival and was eventually acquired by HBOMAX. In 2021, Li was cast opposite Patrick Fabian in AMC’s Better Call Saul, which became his first television credit. This year, he was featured in ABC’s Home Economics with Topher Grace. Also, he is recognizable as a social media creator with over one million followers for his relatable comedy sketches.
