Taron Egerton Wants To Join The MCU, Even If It Isn’t As Wolverine

Taron Egerton has grown to be quite the fan-favorite actor. From his work on Kingsman to his more recent Rocketman, he’s managed to become both a critical and fan darling. As such, as happens with countless actors, fans have begun to speculate over which he role he may be best suited for. The role in question: the one and only Wolverine, who has been portrayed by Hugh Jackman over several films.

Of course, all of this has been just fan casting, with no real truth to speak of, but that’s not to say it could never happen. If nothing else, could Egerton join the MCU in another role? Speaking with Variety, here’s what he had to say.

“I think I love Marvel and I love the movies and I’d love the excuse to get in shape, and I’d love to be a part of it. I mean whether that one’s realistic or not, I don’t know, but I’d love to be a part of it.”

Spoken like a true politician there. He expertly dodged any implications that he’s had any conversations, and even if there have been no talks between him and Marvel, he opens himself up to more roles beyond just the hotly-speculated one.
