Fans of the legendary cinematic ape known as King Kong have something to celebrate. The latest interpretation of the beast’s mythos plans on making a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con, as KONG: SKULL ISLAND will be a part of Saturday’s festivities.
The official twitter account for the film has released a teaser of the teaser for KONG: SKULL ISLAND:

The Kong depicted in SKULL ISLAND will face off against Godzilla in a super-sized monster mash-up in a couple of years, so we have to imagine that the beast will be noticeably larger than Peter Jackson’s version from 2005. Hopefully the footage shown on Saturday will give us some idea of the scale of this new King Kong.
KONG: SKULL ISLAND will feature a phenomenal cast that includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Goodman. It’s directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, and is slated to come out on March 20, 2017.
